Loved the cozy mini kitchen, though the small double room felt a bit cramped.

This was a fitting option for a weekend break in Nelson with incredible value for money. The friendly staff went out of their way to help us find great local dining spots. Watch out for the many stairs when accessing the rooms.

missingWrote a review on Oct 23cramped space
The small double room felt cramped, with just enough space for the bed, nightstands, and TV, not leaving room for much else. Stairs are abundant throughout the hotel, including a challenging long staircase from the street to the lobby that could be tough for luggage or for those with mobility issues.

What a fantastic experience! We loved lounging in the beautiful garden area and the cozy sun terrace after our adventures, soaking in the beauty all around. The only thing I noticed was that the bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but that didn’t take away from our amazing stay. 😊

Staying at Cloudside was a memorable experience. I loved the unique design of the Sycamore suite. Everything felt pristine and cozy, especially the well-decorated interiors. The comfortable bed made it hard to get out in the mornings! The owner, Chris, very welcoming, gave us great dining suggestions nearby. We parked on the street without any hassle. A nearby coffee shop, Oso Negro, served a fantastic breakfast, perfect for fueling our adventures. The only downside was the size of the suite. it felt a bit tight for two. Some may find the stairs challenging, especially with luggage. Overall, the beauty and charm of the place outweigh these minor issues.

Perfect for Family with kids
What a gem this place was! The owners thought of everything, making sure the stay was smooth and comfortable, even had a little deck outside for my son to play.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but worth every cent.

The family suite was spacious enough for all of us, providing a comfortable setup during our stay. With a great kitchen stocked with essentials, we prepared meals together and made wonderful memories. The scenic walk to downtown Nelson was a pleasant bonus, and the hospitality from the owners truly made us feel at home.
In my wife’s opinion, more kid-friendly activities would be great.

The cozy room provided a homey atmosphere, making it a delightful retreat. I particularly enjoyed the real milk for tea in the morning and the beautiful garden area where I could relax. However, the numerous stairs could be challenging with luggage, and the small size of the room felt restrictive. Despite these drawbacks, I found the character of the property to be charming, and the proximity to downtown was a definite plus.
